Ampalaya Con Carne

Let’s start!

Ingredients:

A piece of Bitter Gourd;
200g ground beef;
3 Tbsp. of cornstarch (dilute in water);
2g of pepper;
1/4 tsp of salt;
a piece of onion and 2 cloves of garlic;
2 Tbsp. of soy sauce;
and a teaspoon of sugar.

Plus 1/2 cup of water
and 2TBSP of oil

Procedures:

  • Heat oil in pan;
  • sauté garlic and onions until brown;
  • with a low fire put the ground beef until
    cooked;
  • put sliced AMPALAYA, don’t stir very often to avoid bitterness in taste;
  • season with salt and pepper;
  • add soy sauce and water;
  • simmer until cooked;
  • after, you can already put sugar and
    the diluted cornstarch;
  • simmer for 2 minutes and serve!

Chef D’s Tip: Ampalaya Con Carne is best served with rice! Avoid stirring very often to avoid the taste of bitterness. Don’t be afraid to explore and improve this recipe!
